Jayce was just 16 when he was involved in a tragic
skateboarding accident that abruptly ended his
vibrant life. He was a great athlete, friend, brother
and most importantly, a beloved son.
The Jayce Yoho Memorial Golf Tournament began
in 2004 to commemorate his accomplishments
during his brief but meaningful existence. Even
after his passing, Jayce found a way to put others
before him by declaring himself an organ donor,
ultimately saving a number of lives.
The proceeds from the 16th Annual Golf Tournament
will support UF Health Jacksonville (Shands)
TraumaOne, where Jayce was flown following
his accident. Jayce received the utmost care and
attention from TraumaOne staff and their kindness
and sincerity extended to the hundreds of guests
that came by to see him.
TraumaOne is the only adult and pediatric Level I
trauma program in Northeast Florida and Southeast
Georgia. Its qualified team consists of UF
Health trauma surgeons, nurses and others with
extensive training in caring for trauma patients.
TraumaOne consists of four components: Trauma
Center, Flight Services, Communications/Dispatch
and Trauma Prevention and Education.
Since 2004, the Jayce Yoho Memorial Golf
Tournament has raised over $70,000.00, thanks to
the continued support and dedication of donors
like you. This year will be our 16th year supporting
TraumaOne in their efforts to continue providing
the same compassionate care they provided Jayce
16 years ago.
