About RIA AUSA Chapter
Since 1950, the Arsenal Chapter of the Association of the United States Army has been a non-profit educational and professional development association serving America’s Army and supporters of a strong national defense. For just $1.67/mo anyone can become a member of the Army’s only professional association that advocates for Soldiers, veterans, their families, DA civilians and retirees every day in every way to ensure their needs are met. AUSA is made up of 123 all-volunteer chapters worldwide, has over 145,000 members and contributes of $5,000,000 in support annually through awards, soldier and family program support, as well as scholarships. It is the single largest contributor to the National Army Museum at over $34M in financial support, ensuring the museum’s creation.
Local Community Involvement The Rock Island Arsenal Chapter 5102 represents this national association and is an active chapter with dedicated volunteers giving their time and expertise to educate, inform and connect our community to the world’s best Army. Proceeds from this event are used to fund scholarships, military signing events for high school students, our annual Day of Giving event providing $100 in groceries to 100 military families and so much more. Whether it’s financially supporting a local military chaplain and community partner impacted by historic flooding, sponsoring JROTC/ROTC cadet events, donating to organizations that provide service dogs to veterans or fulfills other needs, our chapter is continuously searching for ways to serve.
Chapter Mission RIA AUSA, DoD's 'Rock' building readiness since 1862, supports its chapter region's Total Army family by educating and informing the public about the roles of America's Army, as well as supporting area military and veteran communities and their families.
Chapter Vision The RIA AUSA Chapter contributes to the larger AUSA voice by building and maintaining a robust membership base, promoting shared values and causes and providing all-encompassing support, education and advocacy for our regional Total Army Family.
