On June 9, 1995, Glendora Police Officer Louie Pompei was shot and killed while attempting to stop an armed robbery at a grocery store. Louie's sudden and violent death was the most devastating occurrence in the history of the Glendora Police Department. This tournament was started in his honor to help raise money for the families of police officers killed in the line of duty.
