Fundraiser Golf Tournament for SGT. Stephanie Criss
Sergeant Stephanie Criss is a Colorado Springs native. At the age of 22, she joined the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office. After multiple Emergency Room visits due to stomach pain, Stephanie was diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer in December of 2015. She underwent a partial colon resection and after 7 rounds of chemotherapy, the cancer was in remission. Her colon cancer aggressively returned in September 2018. She has been given 3-6 months to live if her cancer goes untreated. If treated with chemotherapy, she has been given 2-3 years. She continues to work full-time as an El Paso County Sheriff’s Deputy and struggles with nausea and fatigue on a daily basis. Even with the support of her close-knit family, the medical bills have become overwhelming.
