About the Course
The scenic beauty of IMG Academy Golf Club provides an atmosphere for a great golf experience. The 18-hole championship golf course is a true test for low handicap players, and also eminently playable for higher handicappers. Members and guests alike consider it an extremely fair, yet challenging golf course.
Opened in 1972 and chartered in 1980 as a private country club, the original course was a 6,673-yard, par 72 layout. Slender pines, majestic oaks and native foliage along with scenic lakes, provide the setting for a fun, enjoyable course set amidst Florida's natural habitat.
Following a $2.5 million renovation by renowned golf architect Gene Bates of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, the “new” IMG Academy Golf Club reopened in 2003 as the region’s most playable, scenic and technically advanced golf course. The course has been lengthened to 6,842 yards from the back tees, and the routing of Nos. 10 and 18 was reversed, resulting in a spectacular “island” green on No. 10. TifEagle was planted on greens and TifSport on the fairways, tees and rough. The renovation project also included replacement of the irrigation-drainage system with additional lush landscaping, rebuilt sand traps and a larger practice facility.
We offer regularly scheduled men’s and ladies’ play, and thanks to our enthusiastic membership, the IMG Academy Golf Club enjoys one of the most active groups of golf associations in the area.
The course provides a rewarding golf experience at every level. Impeccably maintained year-round, IMG Academy Golf Club continuously attracts those who demand the finest playing conditions. We are proud to be the home-course of IMG Academy Golf Program.
