"Taking Care of Those Who Have Taken Care of Us".
The Heroes Family Fund, previously known as the Remembrance & Survivors Fund was created in 2003 by its sister organization, The Illinois Public Pension Fund Association (“IPPFA”), a statewide organization that provides assistance to over 500 of the 655 police and firefighter pension funds throughout Illinois.
This fund was established for the purpose of providing financial support to the families of Illinois police officers and firefighters killed in the line of duty. We are dedicated to honoring the memory of the brave public safety officers that died serving and protecting the residents of Illinois. We have provided financial support to the families of fallen law enforcement officers, firefighters, and first responders that have gone above and beyond the call of duty and now, we will be expanding our assistance to public safety workers' families in more ways. Proceeds from today's event fund these programs.
