This charity tournament was forged out of the unexpected passing of our Father, Bob, in 2009. We had a strong need to keep his memory alive, the tournament did just that. He loved to hit any course he could, just to get a round in. Our Great Grandparents previously owned a golf course, Montague Golf Club in Randolph, VT, where he spent several of his childhood summers raking the traps and tending to the course. Then played golf until the sun went down. He enjoyed later in life spending time on that same course with us, teaching us how to play the game of golf, gentlemen's rules, and the value of learning a structured sport.
We are extremely thankful for all of those who have continued to participate in keeping our Father's memory going for now almost 10 years. If it wasn't for all of you, we would not have the highest single non-corporate donation to The First Tee of NH. Our Father would have been proud to be part of this charity, teaching the game of golf to his kids was something he took pride in.
