Vest-A-Cop was formed following the shooting of Ridley Park Police Officer Marc Hanly on August 30th, 2015. Officer Hanly’s life was saved due to the Point Blank ballistic bullet proof vest he was wearing that evening.
In an effort to insure that all first responders are adequately equipped with the life-saving tools necessary, Vest-A-Cop was formed to help raise funds to purchase vests for those who do not have one or cannot afford one.
To date, Vest-A-Cop has supplied 21 custom-fit ballistic bullet proof vests to officers in Delaware County. Our hope is to double that number in 2017.
Now, more than ever, is the time to insure that all first responders are properly equipped.
Vest-A-Cop partnered with, and is a program of, Taylor Community Foundation. If you are unable to attend and wish to make a donation, please make checks payable to "TCF/Vest-A-Cop" and mail to P.O. Box 461, Ridley Park, PA 19078.
