About Tahoe SAFE Alliance
For more than 30 years, Tahoe SAFE Alliance has provided programs, services, education and outreach united around the goal of ending child abuse, sexual assault, and domestic violence. Driven by the belief that everyone has the right to live a life free of violence, the agency provides safety, advocacy, support and education for survivors.
Our mission is to end the incidence and trauma of child abuse, intimate partner/domestic violence, and sexual violence in North Lake Tahoe and Truckee.
The agency owns/operates the community's only Safe House and 24-hour Community Helpline. Tahoe SAFE Alliance operates 3 office sites across two states and three counties and employs 25 staff members.
A report of child abuse is made every 10 seconds in the U.S. That’s over 3 million reports made every year. Furthermore, statistics show 1 in 4 girls and 1 in 6 boys will be sexually abused by the time they reach the age of 18. More than 78% of sexual assaults are committed by someone close to the victim like a partner, family member, friend or acquaintance. Tahoe SAFE Alliance offers a comprehensive Children’s Program for children that are exposed to intimate partner violence or who are victims of abuse and neglect.
About the Incline Village Championship Golf Course
Designer Robert Trent Jones Sr. called the course “the ideal mountain layout” with “views you will never forget”. This challenging par-72 course matches everything you look for in a mountain design- towering trees, elevation changes, and natural water features, all of which complement its picturesque setting. Completely renovated in 2005, this classic design boasts a number of awards including "Best in State" 2012-2016 list by Golf Digest magazine, "#6 Best in State" by 2016 Golf Advisor, and "Top 50 US Courses" 2014 Golf Advisor.
